Erdogan promotes regional cooperation and bilateral relations during Gulf tour

Speaking to reporters on the presidential plane, Erdogan expressed the need for consultation and coordination on matters concerning the region.

During the Gulf tour, Türkiye strengthened its bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, culminating in the signing of five agreements with Riyadh, marking a new era in their partnership.

Additionally, Türkiye and Qatar celebrated the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, with President Erdogan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani pledging to further enhance cooperation across various fields.

Erdogan's visit to the UAE resulted in the signing of a total of 13 deals worth $50.7 billion, signaling significant potential in trade and investment between Türkiye and the UAE. The two nations elevated their relations to a strategic partnership level, establishing a high-level strategic council mechanism to discuss pressing issues.

The Gulf tour also saw historic milestones in defense and aerospace cooperation, with the signing of "the biggest" defense and aerospace export contracts in Turkish history. President Erdogan lauded these agreements as a testament to the Gulf countries' trust in Türkiye's economy and industry.

The tour showcased Türkiye's commitment to fostering regional cooperation and advancing its bilateral relations with Gulf nations, as the country seeks to strengthen partnerships and promote economic ties in the region. (ILKHA)
