Magnitude-5.2 earthquake strikes northeastern Afghanistan, felt across the region
A magnitude-5.2 earthquake occurred in northeastern Afghanistan at 10:19 am local time on Sunday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was situated 36 km southeast of Jurm, according to European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The seismic activity was felt across the neighboring region, including specific areas in India, Pakistan, and southern Tajikistan.
Currently, there are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties resulting from the earthquake.
However, it might take several hours for authorities to carry out comprehensive assessments of the extent of the damage, especially in remote areas. (ILKHA)
