One out of every three children and young people (104 million children and young people) aged 5 to 17 years living in countries affected by conflict or natural disasters do not attend school.

According to the report prepared by UNICEF, this number is more than one-third of the number of out-of-school children worldwide.

The number of children and young people between the ages of 5 and 17 who do not go to school reaches 303 million.

According to the report, one out of every five people aged 15-17 living in countries affected by conflicts or disasters has never been to school, and two out of every five people have not finished primary education.

More than half of children in primary school age who do not attend school live in countries affected by emergency situations.

Poverty remains the main obstacle to education around the world. (ILKHA)
