Dr. Ramazan Korkut, lecturer in Bingol University gave information about the hajj fardh stated that hajj which in term of the congress of the Islamic Ummah, must be transformed into a worship that will provide solutions to the problems of the ummah.

Korkut said, "We have left the Ramadan month behind and entered the first 10 days of the Zulhijja. Allah Almighty, in the Qur'an, 'is the righteousness of Allah over the people to fulfill the pilgrimage [hajj] of those who can raise up power. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.' And the Prophet says, 'whoever fulfills the pilgrimage by observing the pleasure of Allah and does not say a bad word during the pilgrimage, if he does not commit sin, he will return as a clean and forgiving as the day he was born of his mother.'"

"Hajj is a worship of both financial and body"

Korkut, who expressed that the Hajj is a worship of both financial and body, continued as follows: "As it is known, in Islam, worship is divided into body, financial and both 'financial and body'. Salaah and fasting are worships of the body. Zakat is a financial worship, it is clear. But Hajj worship has both sides, financial and body. Properties and body are both consignations."

"Allah is obliged to those who are able to exercise hajj"

Korkut said, "It is supposed to pray five times a day, once a week on Fridays, once and a year on fasting and once in a lifetime to hajj. So that mankind is really created for worship, it is a process that must be evaluated with worship. Allah Almighty is obliged to those who are able to exercise the hajj. It is necessary for the person to have the material strength to be able to deliver the hajj except for the essential needs of the person and to be safe and healthy."

"Hajj days must benefit with worship"

Korkut, who is in the recommendations of those who cannot power for hajj, says, "What can our brothers who cannot go to Hajj do now? The worship that we perform at this time is worthy and precious in Allah's sight and Allah has sworn to the first 10 days of the Zulhijja month so that our brothers who cannot get the opportunity to go to the hajj will have fasting and worship."

"Hajj is a congress of the Islamic ummah"

"Hajj is a congress of the Islamic ummah," Korkut said: "The Islamic ummah has common problems at the moment, and the blood of the Islamic geography is faced with great difficulties and hardships in tears, and at the same time, as the hajj is a congress of the Islamic ummah. It must be transformed into a worship that will solve the common problems of the Islamic ummah. Hajj is to be made a consciousness that strengthens the brotherhood of Islam."

Korkut explains the significance of those who practice hajj in their pursuits and the importance of continuing their lives in the spirit of hajj. Said, "Most of those who go to the hajj from our country are mostly of old age and postpone the hajj to the old age time. But the important hajj to be done during young ages." (Nihat Kanat - ILKHA)
