The earthquake's epicenter was located approximately 31 km (19 miles) south-southeast of Ḩajjiabad, Iran, and it occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles).

The tremor, which registered a moderate magnitude, likely resulted in light shaking across significant areas of Hormozgan, southeastern Fars, and southwestern Kerman provinces in Iran, as well as the far northern region of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Fortunately, initial reports indicate that there have been no immediate accounts of damage or casualties arising from the earthquake. However, further assessments and evaluations are still underway to comprehensively determine the extent of any potential impact.

The occurrence of this earthquake serves as a reminder of the region's susceptibility to seismic activity. Iran, situated within an active seismic zone, has experienced several notable earthquakes in the past. Preparedness and response measures, along with ongoing monitoring and evaluation, play crucial roles in minimizing the potential consequences of such natural events.

Authorities and relevant organizations are closely monitoring the situation, ensuring the safety and well-being of the affected regions. Updates will continue to be provided as more information becomes available, reinforcing the importance of staying informed and prepared in the face of seismic events. (ILKHA)
