Number of paid employees in Türkiye increases by 6.5% annually, according to statistics agency
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the number of paid employees in Türkiye has witnessed an annual increase of 6.5%.

In March 2023, the total number of paid employees in industries, construction, and trade-services sectors reached 14,757,342, compared to 13,862,333 in the same month of the previous year.
Breaking it down by sub-sectors, the industrial sector experienced a 3.4% increase in the number of paid employees, while the construction sector saw a significant rise of 16.6%. The trade-services sector also observed a moderate increase of 6.6% on an annual basis.
On a monthly basis, there was a 0.5% growth in the number of paid employees in March 2023 when compared to the previous month. Analyzing the sub-sectors, the industrial sector witnessed a slight 0.2% increase, the construction sector showed a more substantial rise of 1.2%, and the trade-services sector experienced a 0.6% monthly increase.
