Coronavirus worldwide: The number of confirmed cases surpasses 2,500,000

The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people around the world.
The United States has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases with 792,938 cases, followed by Spain with 204,178 cases, Italy with 181,228 cases, France with 155,383 cases, Germany with 147,103 cases, the United Kingdom with 124,743 cases, Turkey with 90,980 cases, Iran with 84,802 cases and China with 82,758 cases.
The United States also has the highest death toll from the virus with 42,518 deaths, followed by Italy with 24,114 deaths, Spain with 21,282 deaths, France with 20,265 deaths, the United Kingdom with 16,509 deaths.
A total of 659,300 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital. (ILKHA)
