Visiting Turkiye on Saturday, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Mevlüt and National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

By arming the YPG group in Syria, the US has formed a nightmare for Turkiye, Graham said.

Underlining that the YPG/PYD is clearly tied to the PKK, also listed as a terrorist group by Turkiye, the US, and the European Union, Graham told reporters that the US strategy in Syria has the potential to cause harm to Turkiye.

Stressing that he suggested Trump fix the problem that the US caused for Ankara, Graham added that if we can do that right then we can talk about the buffer zone. (ILKHA)
