The Mawlid Al-Nabi, which Muslims are celebrating on the twelfth night of Rabi' Al-Awwal [a month in hegira calendar] as the birth of Prophet Muhammad, will be observed by the Islamic Ummah on Monday evening.

"This society needs the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah"

Stating that the society needs to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah for correction, HUDA PAR Vice President Hüseyin Yılmaz said: "Prophet [PBUH] is a prophet who has been sent for the universe. And this society needs his inheritance, his Sunnah, his life and the Islam he brings."

Yılmaz stated that in order for the society to be corrected, it must be wrapped in the Sunnah of the Prophet, and live in the framework of this Sunnah.

Calling on people to participate in the Mawlid programs Yılmaz underlined that they also should know the Sirat [life] of the Messenger of Allah well at this point.

"We should always go in the footsteps of the Prophet"

Member of the Ittihad Al Ulama Mullah Abdurrahman Özekinci pointed out that the Prophet Muhammad had been sent as "mercy to the worlds" and Allah sent him as a prophet for the correction of the corrupted world order.

"We must benefit from his morality and the revelation he brings, read and commemorate him very much. It is necessary to be close to him, to follow his path and to be subject to his Sunnah. It is necessary to follow the Prophet [Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him] for not only his birthday but also all the time," he said.

Mullah Beşir Varol, one of the well-known scholars of the region, drew attention to the importance of Mawlid Al-Nabi and stated that the Prophet Muhammad is the guide of humanity until the end of the day.

"Every year, Muslims give Mawlids and remember him; to follow the path of the Prophet of Allah and His Book. Today, the Messenger of Allah is not with us, but the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah are with us. "

Saying that when people forget the Prophet, they also forget the book of Allah and the Sunnah of Prophet, Mullah Beşir expressed as: "Our people and our nation will be the followers of the Messenger of Allah if we place Him in our minds and among our nation on many occasions. And when people become a follower of the Prophet, they will win both the world and the afterlife."

Ittihad Al-Ulama member Mullah Abdul-Quddus Yalçın said: "I hope Mawlid al-Nabi will be instrumental in opening our hearts and consciousness. I hope it will activate the Islamic feelings. The love of our Prophet, I hope will be a means whereby all Muslims will gather around Islam and attain peace."

"The Messenger of Allah changed the system of the earth"

With the birth of Prophet Muhammad, Mullah Karbala Şanlı said that many changes occurred in the universe.  "The messenger of Allah changed the system of the Earth after he received the wahi [revelation]. He saved the Earth from persecution, atrocities, and slavery."

Stating that the period of the Messenger of Allah and the present era is similar, Şanlı continued as: "When he was sent, there was cruelty, violence, and all sorts of evil. We believe that today the message of the Prophet of Allah, his life, and his moral values will remove all kind of corruption from the world just as the Messenger of Allah removed these evil deeds from the world."
