The families of the injured and martyred in the US-backed July 15 coup attempt of the FETO said that America and zionists are behind all the mischief committees on the Earth.

Veterans and martyrs families of July 14, who spoke to ILKHA's correspondent due to the anniversary of the US-backed July 15 coup attempt, said that the main purpose of the July 15 coup was to target Islam in the country and destroy Muslims.

Yılmaz Ercan is one of the martyrs of July 15, who was riding by his motorbike against the putschist on 'July 15 Martyrs Bridge'. His father Melih Fuat Ercan emphasized that the July 15's resistance was the second liberation struggle of the country.

"July 15, 2016, was our country's second liberation war. Our children, our people, have supported this struggle for the benefit. If we live here in peace, it is because of our children. The final decision on the arrest of the traitors will be announced in Silivri on July 12. Those treacherous were caught on the very act with treachery. In the heart of anyone, there is no place for these treacherous. The July 15 case is a case that deals with all the people of our country. It is never a party, an institution or an organization, a person's case," he said.

Sabahattin Ünal, who went to the July 15 Martyrs Bridge to resist and injured, stated that there are the US and zionists behind all the coups and mischiefs in the world.

Hüseyin Başkurt, who stated that the main aim of the coup was to neutralize and end Muslims, continued as follow:

"I was one of the first to come out that night. Three motorcycle friends rode the engine on the traitors. There was a flag in the stalls and the fired it. I ran towards the flag and caught it. The soldier fired on me. Sniper shot from the back and 4 bullets hit on my back. My ribs broken, I fell down. The shrapnel had hit my chest. One of a friend hold me on his back. I do not remember after that. The real aim of those traitors, who serve to zionists, to delete Islam in this country and end Muslims. Those base people have eaten the bread of this country but then fired us. I am ready to give my life if it happens again."

"We were running like we were entering the paradise"

Erol Sönmez, one of the veterans who lost one of his arms on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge narrated those days as follow:

"At night, after hearing that the chief of the General Staff was taken the hostage, we were preparing to get out but we heard the call of our president. I went to the bridge. It's not like how I'm telling you as if I'm living that moment again. Everyone was there. They threw the gas bomb as we approached the bridge. The gas bomb was like a perfume smell. We came to the barricade, we asked the cops why we did not go [towards putschists]. They said, 'We got an order to wait here.' We told them 'we are here for our country,' and we began walking towards to the bridge. We went to the bridge by telling them that we came here for our country. They [putschist] were shooting at us, I had people next to me fall down. A bullet hit my shoulders. They also fired on those who were trying to pick me up." (ILKHA)
