Afrin cannot be handed over to the regime: Turkish FM
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Wednesday said for Afrin, "This place cannot be handed over to the regime."

Evaluation Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's statement on Afrin, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said: "This place [Afrin] cannot be handed over to the regime."
Çavuşoğlu talked about the latest developments in Syria in the speech he made at an event of the think-tank SETA in Ankara.
"Since the very beginning, we have supported Syria's territorial integrity even more. However, as it also Turkiye's security concerns must be completely eliminated. What does it mean to be handed over to the regime? It will not happen. Because the regime one day conflicts with the YPG, the other day they work together," said Çavuşoğlu. (ILKHA)
