Known as "Ali Sakgir Hodja" in Konya, glossator Ali Küçük has passed away in the hospital he was being treated for a while.

The scholar from Konya, author of two books, Besairu'l Quran in tafsir area, and Besairu'l-Ahadith in the field of Hadith, had been under treatment due to cancer in February. Ali Küçük Hodja, who was discharged after the treatment he had seen a while ago and who struggled with long-suffering cancer, passed away.

Who is Ali Küçük Hoca?

He was born in Konya's Çumra in Apa village. After completing his first college in the village, he enrolled in Konya Imam-Hatip School. He graduated from the Imam-Hatip school in 1972. Three years he taught the Qur'an Course in Çumra Center Qur'an Course. Later, after graduating from Social Sciences Department of Selçuk University, he completed the Faculty of Theology at the same university. He worked as Religious Officer in Europe for about 6 years. Later in Konya, he continued to work in many foundations, associations and social voluntary organizations. Articles were published in various journals and newspapers. He was married and was the father of 6 children and he was fluent in German, French, and Arabic.
