Kadir Topbaş's son-in-law releases who arrested from FETO

Lawyers of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbas's son-in-law Omer Faruk Kavurmacı, who were arrested under the investigation of businessmen against FETO, demanded release by citing health problems.

According to the information, the vacation criminal court of peace evaluate the demand and decided for Kavurmacı to be released. The prosecutor objected, but the superior ruled court rejected the objection.

The Istanbul 5th Criminal Court of Peace, evaluated the petition requested for release and examined the report dated April 18, 2017 prepared for Kavurmacı. According to this, the prison conditions were assessed as having a negative effect on the suspect who had “epilepsy” diagnosis in 2005.

Judging was found from these facts that the suspect to be inconvenient to remain alone. The judge stated that, given current problems, the continuation of Kavurmacı's imprisonment could lead to unforeseeable circumstances in the future.

The judge, who accepted the release request, banned Kavurmacı on leaving the country and ruled that every Sunday he must go to to the police station and sign.

In TUSKON's indictment, about 86 businessmen, including Ömer Faruk Kavurmacı, were charged from 7.5 years to 15 years' imprisonment on charges of “membership of an armed terrorist organization”.

On the other hand, the families of sick prisoners who have been detained in prison for years because of their Islamic identity demand that their victimization be resolved.

Families who stated that the persecution and victimization persists in Islamic identities by FETO and different parallels in the state, are expecting the release of their relatives who have been arrested for years with various calipers and who have suffered from various diseases in prison. (ILKHA)
