KDP, a part of the Iraqi Kurdish parties, said in a written statement that the PKK forces should be withdrawn from Sinjar.

Parliamentary Panel of KDP made a written statement following the attack carried out by Turkish Armed Forces on Sinjar.

Remanding that 5 Peshmergas lost their lives and 9 were wounded in the attack, and emphasized that the main reason for the instability in the region is PKK.

In the explanation: “We declare that we are concerned about the attack, we reject and condemn any attacks on Kurdistan territories, and on peshmerga and Kurdistan citizens, but we must also keep in mind that the main cause of these attacks and instability is PKK forces in the region. Remain of PKK forces in this region will cause attack and instability to continue. So PKK forces must evacuate the region as soon as possible, so that after the Sinjar catastrophe, the people can begin a new life without fear.” (ILKHA)
