HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu participated in the event, which was organized by the Batman Provincial Directorate of the Party, at the New Cultural Center Conference Hall, entitled "Oppressed of the World from Halabja to today”.

In order to not experience those days again, Yapıcıoğlu said that we must remember, remain, commemorate, understand and explain those days, “It is really impossible to forget the scenery in Halabja. Not only 29 years to pass, even though 29 centuries pass over that savagery day, it is impossible to forget if see one single photo from that day. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent the new Halabjas, new massacres from being lived.”

“Bloodshedders are always imperialists and their local collaborators”

Yapıcıoğlu said that after the Halabja, Islamic geography saw many massacres, "After the Halabja, there were bigger from this massacre. There were bigger casualties. Look at Syria which is close by, over 600,000 people died in 6 years. 7 thousand people were buried in the ditches opened in our region in less than a year until the first few months of 2016 within the year 2015. But the picture does not change. It is the imperialists and their local collaborators and pawns who have always shed blood. But we are always the ones whose blood shedding who are slaughtered who are left breathless.”

“We are always dead”

Yapıcıoğlu continued, “We are always the ones who have been killed by chemical weapons, sometimes remain under the wreckage of our destroyed houses. They are always the killers. But mostly those who are slaughtered, who wailed for those oppressed, are only seeing pawns. Because those who sic pawns on us made role sharing, they play good cop. Perhaps the most tragic part of the job is that those who gave chemical weapons to Saddam pawn, the planes, and even the tyrants who ordered the massacre, continue to play the role of rescuer role since that day.”

“If no unity, many massacres like Halabja will continue”

Yapıcıoğlu pointed out that the oppressed should be united in the name of similar massacres like in Halabja not going to experienced again, “Oppressed people must be united to absolutely in order not to experience same massacres, to make their enemies fall on their knees and make them step back. If it is not so, it will continue to experience many massacres such as living in Halabja or experiencing in other geographies, and the earth will be full of corruption and unrest as a whole.”

At the end of his speech, Yapıcıoğlu said: "In our geography, why we cannot extend our hands to each other, just because there are people or groups with slight differences between them. The imperialists are making bigger massacres while we dealing with each other and weakening.
