"We will not allow our relations with Russia to breakdown"

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Eurasian Tunnel, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed that they would not allow relations with Russia to breakdown.

At the opening ceremony started with recite of Qur'an, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Speaker of the Turkish Parliament İsmail Kahraman made speech. Afterwards, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made his statements.

Erdoğan stated that the tunnel will be 15 TL [Turkish Lira] until the month of January for the transit fee and he said "This will go to our martyrs' account in the Ministry of Family and Social Policy".

Erdoğan voiced his sorrow about the death of Russia's ambassador to Ankara, Andrey Karlov, who was killed yesterday after the armed attack, saying, "We will never allow breakdown to our relations with Russia."

Erdoğan said, "Our security forces and our judiciary will investigate the situation in all its aspects and reveal the fact that we have started a joint commission of inquiry with Russia. We are starting our work and our delegation is working. We are in a consensus with Mr. Putin. We are not going to let the breakdown our relations with Russia."

Erdoğan said, "We have laid its foundation in Asia, we are opening in Europe. I want to repeat the sorrow that I heard about the death of the Ankara Ambassador of the Russian Federation in a humiliating attack yesterday in Ankara. He was a friends that I predestinated. A week ago, he brought Tatarstan President to me. We made evaluations together. He was a warm blooded one. The attempt of assassination yesterday evening, and the regrettable result, I personally condemn it in the name of nationalism."

Erdoğan then said: "We are confident that our areas of cooperation in Russia. Especially in Syria, will not be affected, and we will not allow our relations with Russia to deteriorate. It is upsetting that such an event happened in our lands. (ILKHA)
