President Erdogan had a speech in the 9th council meeting under the theme of “Islam in Eurasia; Union Against Abuse Religion, Solidarity and Future Perspectives” organized by Diyanet in Dolmabahçe Palace.  

Erdogan began his speech with the wish of success of council and to be felicity for all Muslims and humankind. Erdogan noted about the importance of council is carrying out after July 15 coup attempt and added “ıf the coup in our country was an ordinary coup, probably it wouldn’t take place in this council. The issue that make July 15 different and make it important for this committee: that those who attempted coup July 15 was seeing themselves as a religion community and their leader as ‘Mahdi’. We must examine the reasons of the motivation of coup lovers, living two lives in order to hide themselves and eventually blacked out their eyes to point gun against their people and country and shed blood.”

FETO is a structure that legitimizes all kinds of methods for their purpose

President Erdogan emphasized that this threaten shouldn’t be seen only for Turkiye, Al-Qaida, ISIL are also consist from people who think they serve for divine causes which they ensanguine and burn Islamic geography.

Erdogan added in his speech that “This organization is a sedition movement which abuse the religion, legitimize all kinds of methods for their purpose, have dubious sources, work to break Ummah and tawhid and its real face not going to be showed because of its secret structure.”

I don’t have a Sunni, Shia religion

President Erdogan continued his speech on sectarianism, “The world of Islam, not only suffers from terrorism attacks but was tried to divide into two parts with the terrorism excuse, also targeting with severe charges. When you look at to terror attacks and those who killed is Muslim, those who kills also Muslim especially in Middle East or North Africa or South Asia. Killer says ‘Allah-u Akbar’ and decedent also says ‘Allah-u Akbar’ before last breath. There is a big mistake in here. This situation make Islamic world for intervention with the terror excuse. Also this is not the only issue. Sectarianism sedition, constitute an important fact that opens intervention door on Islamic world. I have always said and now I say again, I have no religion named as Sunni or Shia. My religion is Islam.” (ILKHA)
