Aytaç Baran, former head of Yeni-Ihya Der, has been marked on his martyrdom anniversary by his lovers in Yeniköy graveyard.

In spite of hot weather a broad participation attended the commemoration program; family of Mrtyr Aytaç Baran, Head of HUDA PAR Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, Vice President of HUDA PAR Vedat Turgut, Sait Şahin, Head of Provincial Office Şeyhmus Tanrıkulu and some NGOs representatives were ready in the commemoration.

Chanting takbeer frequently, during the program slogans ‘long live the hell for oppressors, we will follow your way, Martyr Aytaç’s path is our path’ shouted by crowd. After reciting Quran, opening speech was made by Muzaffer Berber, Head of Yeni-Ihya Der.

Mentioning the foundation phases of the association and activities, Muzaffer Berber indicated that they were struggling in an educative, decent and ethical way against corruption of youth and show solidarity with oppressed and indigent people.

“He was the unique teacher of young people with his high ethics and smiling face”

Saying that Aytaç Baran was an example to his environment with his good moral character, Beber said: “everywhere and always, with his good character and smiling face made him a unique teacher of young people. To lead young people to the truth and save them from false ideologies not to be abused by anti-Islamic movements was always his single purpose. Relinquishing his life and his family to be a shield to these young people, maintaining his Islamic services and his courage against every kind of threats made him a love in these young people’s eyes. This mutual love has turned into a faith circle, a service caravan and a steel heart against tyrants and oppressors. This is what the traitors of Kurdistan were getting mad about him; they got mad when they saw these young people getting rid of their abuse and taking place in Islamic and Quran circle. In fact this isn’t so weird to us. Because, throughout history; false mindsets have always been enemies against those people of truth who work to spread Islamic cause to humanity."

“The stake, oppressors and tyrants get, is only shame and an eternal misery”

Indicating that oppressors have always lost and it shall be so, Beber went on saying that: “yes, losing these rare flowers saddens us. Years passing haven’t faded anything from our yearning but we have a complete faith that they are in joy in their Lord’s honouring. Their brothers, they left behind, also pursue their way manfully. As for oppressors and tyrants; the stake, they get, is only shame and an eternal misery. We plead God to grant us strength and their determination to follow our precious brothers’ way and finalize our strife with a martyrdom crown.”

After Muzaffer Beber’s speech, Head of Martyrdom Caravan Platform Ömer Çelik addressed the crowd regarding the importance of martyrdom in his speech.

“His purpose was to rear a generation serve Allah”

Çelik said: “as far as we comprehend the cause of martyrs, we can earn the peace of world and hereafter and knock down the tyrants. Our dear martyr Aytaç was a hero and mujahid dedicated himself to Islam since his childhood. His real purpose to rear a generation serve Allah. Nither jail nor torture nor dungeons could retard him from his struggle. His only dream was to spread Islam among young. He always respected his teachers and his brothers. His only occupation was to attain Allah with a pure heart. He always prayed God to earn martyrdom and he lived as a martyr.”

“Our war against infidelity will last till the judgement day”

Describing incredulity, Satan, desires and jealousy as five enemies, Çelik said: “If we don’t continue our life against these five enemies, like martyr Aytaç did, these enemies will ruin our both world life and life to come. As long as we accept Allah as our God, those who deny this will fight against us and force us to serve them. Our fight against infidels will last till the judgement day. If we don’t gird us with the love of martyrdom we cannot prevail in this war.”

“Desires the reasons destroy a young man who devoted himself to God”

Indicating that battling against worldly desires can only be through remembering Allah frequently, Çelik said: “remembering Allah can only save us from the traps and decoys of desires. We have to identify the illnesses come from base desires. Base desires the reasons which ruin a young man who devoted himself to God. When we look out our martyrs’ lives we see them put their desires under their feet. Our Aytaç brother was so. He even called the boys who were younger than him, as older brother.”

Former Head of Yeni-Ihya Der Aytaç Baran was martyred by PKK militants just two days after the 7th June General Election while he was going to association office where he was performing his services. Aytaç Baran was married father of 4 children, three of them are boys. (ILKHA)
