During operations conducted in Tekdüzen village in Varto district, 4 PKK militants were killed and one other, who is defined as Erzurum State Commander in organization chart, was caught in a wounded state. It is also reported that one of the killed militants Yunus Emre Aras codenamed Bedraw Wan was the murderer of Cengiz (Rodi) Tiryaki who was martyred during 6-8 October events.

Born in Van province, Yunus Emre Aras, codenamed Bedran Wan, after 2014 Local elections went to Cengiz Tiryaki’s house in Serpmekaya village of Karlıova district, and threatened him over 3 votes casted for HUDA PAR in the village.

As it is remembered, Cengiz Tiryaki was threatened many times by PKK, yet he never bowed his head against these threats and for the last time he again non-compromised 3 militants who came to intimidate him. Organizing also some villagers during 6-8 October protests, PKK members sieged Cengiz Tiryaki’s house and held his brothers and asked him to get out and then they killed him in front of his children’s eyes. Codenamed Bedraw Wan –Yunus Emre Aras-, who was one of the militants encircled Tiryaki’s house, constantly said people in every village they went to that he would kill Cengiz Tiryaki.

It is noted that the murderer of Cengiz Tiryaki, Yunus Emre Aras was in the gray list of the Turkey’s most wanted people. (ILKHA)
