More than 10 homes, shops, and 30 cars were set ablaze in Hawara, a town just outside of Nablus, locals said, adding that zionist forces have reportedly granted settlers open access to the Palestinian town.

At least one Palestinian identified as Sameh Hamdullah Mahmoud Aktech was killed during the evening attack on Hawara, according to the Palestine Ministry of Health. He was shot several times in the abdomen.

The Palestinian Red Crescent has confirmed at least 100 people have been wounded during the attack on the town. One of the Palestinians is seriously injured from head wounds.

Local sources confirmed that the settlers prevented Palestinian ambulance crews from reaching the town to provide medical aid to the injured. Two civil defense officers were among the injured in the town, the sources added.

Earlier on Sunday, zionist settlers issued calls to organize a march to Hawara on social media under the zionist army protection.

Similar settler attacks were also reported in Burin town, Ramallah, Salfit, and al-Khalil, where dozens of Palestinians were injured.

At least 62 Palestinians have been killed by zionist forces and settlers this year, at a rate of more than one fatality per day.

The occupied West Bank is home to about 2.9 million Palestinians as well as an estimated 475,000 Jewish settlers who live in state-approved settlements considered illegal under international law. (ILKHA)
