Magnitude 5.8 earthquake strikes Nepal

An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 struck Nepal on Tuesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

The quake happened at 2.28 p.m. and was recorded at a depth of 10 km and about 63 km to the northwest of Nepal’s Jumla district.

The tremor was felt Indian capital New Delhi, shaking ceiling fans and other fixtures.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damages after the quake.

On April 25, 2015 a magnitude 7.8 earthquake tears through Nepal, killing nearly 9,000 and injuring 16,800. (ILKHA)
