Yemeni armed forces target British oil ship in solidarity with Palestinians
The command of the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that Yemen's navy successfully targeted a British oil ship, causing it to catch fire.
The military operation was carried out in response to what was described as American-British aggression against Yemen and in solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly those in the Gaza Strip.
The military spokesman, General Yahya Sarea, emphasized that the direct missile strike on the British oil ship, named MARLIN LUANDA, was a retaliation against the ongoing blockade enforced by the United States and Britain on Yemen.
The Yemeni Armed Forces vowed to continue their military operations to block Israeli navigation in the Red and Arabian seas until a ceasefire is achieved in Gaza. The objective is to ensure the delivery of essential humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to the besieged Palestinian population.
General Sarea underlined that these military actions are a legitimate response to defend Yemen against external aggression. The Yemeni Armed Forces are resolute in their commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and expressed their determination to uphold their right to defend Yemen against any threats.
This latest development adds another layer to the complex geopolitical dynamics in the region, as Yemen continues to grapple with internal conflicts while expressing solidarity with the broader struggles in the Middle East, particularly the Palestinian cause.
The international community will likely closely monitor these events and assess their implications on regional stability. (ILKHA)
