The session came to an abrupt halt as the families passionately addressed committee members.

Shouting, "We will not let you breathe until our children return… You will not sit here while our children die there," the families confronted the committee, emphasizing the urgency of the matter. Banners were displayed, urging immediate action to secure the release of the captives.

Knesset Finance Committee chairman Moshe Gafni, responding to the impassioned protesters, acknowledged the gravity of the situation. He stated that “the return of the captives is the most important matter," and, acknowledging the limitations of leaving the coalition, assured the families that he would convey their position to the prime minister.

Meanwhile, israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a meeting with representatives of the captive's families, announced an Israeli initiative for a swap deal with Hamas. However, specific details of the proposed deal were not disclosed.

Earlier, some families of the israeli captives expressed their distrust in Netanyahu's government, emphasizing their intention to take matters into their own hands. The situation remains tense as families advocate for immediate and concrete actions to ensure the safe return of their loved ones. (ILKHA)
