U.S. continues to support zionist regime despite catastrophic civilian casualties in Gaza

This decision coincides with ongoing zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, where civilian casualties have risen significantly.

The U.S. has already bolstered its naval presence in the region, dispatching two aircraft carriers, support vessels, and approximately 2,000 Marines.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin claimed that these actions are aimed at strengthening regional deterrence efforts, enhancing the safety of U.S. military personnel in the area, and providing support for Israel's defense.

“First, I redirected the movement of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to the Central Command area of responsibility. This carrier strike group is in addition to the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, which is currently operating in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. It will further increase our force posture and strengthen our capabilities and ability to respond to a range of contingencies,” Austin stated.

Furthermore, the deployment includes the positioning of a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and additional Patriot missile battalions in various strategic locations across the region. These assets are intended to improve the protection of U.S. forces operating in the Middle East.

Additionally, a larger number of forces have been placed on standby, ready for rapid deployment as part of contingency planning.

It's worth noting that this decision follows a previous move by the U.S. two years ago when air defense systems were withdrawn from the Middle East, citing a decrease in tensions with Iran. (ILKHA)
