Thousands pour onto streets in southern Türkiye in support of Gaza
More than 50 Islamic non-governmental organizations in Turkey's southeastern city of Batman held a massive protest against israeli attacks on Gaza.
Thousands of people took part in the demonstration, voicing their support for HAMAS and condemning israel for its ongoing attacks on civilians in Gaza.
The protest, titled "Batman is Marching for Gaza," commenced with a procession in front of Batman Park. Demonstrators waved Palestinian and Tawhid flags, frequently chanting takbeer.
Slogans denouncing zionist occupation regime filled the air, with calls of "Down with Israel, down with America," "Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine," "Salute to Hamas, continue resistance," and "Long live hell for the oppressors."
The march, featuring slogans condemning Zionists, progressed to Gülistan Street in front of the Human Rights Monument.
During the event, participants called upon Turkish army to support Jerusalem and urged the government to fulfill its responsibilities. An israeli flag was burned to symbolize the protestors' strong disapproval.
The event also included the recitation of the Quran and collective prayers for innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Speaking on behalf of the non-governmental organizations, Şehmus Önlü, President of Eğitim-Bir-Sen Batman Branch, expressed the collective sentiment that the ongoing events in Gaza represented one of the most significant instances of destruction and genocide in history, lasting for over ten days.
