Eslami urged Grossi to uphold neutrality and professionalism, emphasizing the need to prevent Western countries from using IAEA reports as a pretext to apply further pressure on Iran.

He stated: "The cruel political pressures of Western countries against Iran have been fruitless, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will not leave any political pressure unanswered."

Highlighting the extensive capabilities of Iran's nuclear technology and industry to benefit its citizens, Eslami announced Iran's readiness to share its nuclear expertise with other nations, in line with IAEA guidelines.

During their meeting, Eslami and Grossi also discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.

“Important to engage with Mohammad Eslami, VP and Head of @aeoi_ir during #IAEAGC. I reiterated @IAEAorg willingness to engage and make concrete progress in the spirit of the March 4 statement to provide credible assurances that [Iran’s] nuclear programme is exclusively peaceful,” Grossi wrote on X.

The March 4 statement, jointly released by Iran and the IAEA, marked a commitment to continued cooperation in resolving outstanding safeguards issues. Iran pledged to provide additional information and access to address these issues voluntarily. Additionally, Iran agreed to allow the IAEA to implement further verification and monitoring activities on a voluntary basis, as outlined in the statement.

The safeguards issues in question pertain to allegations made by the Zionist regime regarding undeclared nuclear facilities in Iran. Tehran has consistently denied these allegations, characterizing them as based on fabricated evidence and as part of an effort to politicize Iran's nuclear program. Iran reiterated its commitment to cooperating with the UN nuclear watchdog.

This development reflects the ongoing negotiations and diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing concerns surrounding Iran's nuclear program and maintaining transparency through the IAEA's oversight.

This news report highlights the recent statements and discussions between Iranian nuclear chief Mohammad Eslami and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, shedding light on Iran's stance on Western sanctions and pressure, as well as its commitment to cooperating with the IAEA to address safeguard issues.
