During the meeting, the Austrian delegation expressed a viewpoint that contrasts with the portrayal of Afghanistan's situation in the media, asserting that the actual circumstances are better than often depicted, according to a statement by Afghan Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Minister Muttaqi took the opportunity to discuss the provision of consular services and other essential facilities aimed at addressing the challenges faced by Afghans residing in Vienna, Austria.

Mr. Yohannes, a prominent member of the Freedom Party, voiced his regret that despite the current Afghan government's efforts to establish overall security and bring an end to four decades of conflict in Afghanistan, international recognition has yet to be granted.

According to statements from the Foreign Ministry, the members of the Freedom Party concluded the meeting by emphasizing their commitment to conveying the authentic state of affairs in Afghanistan to Europe. They pledged to share this perspective with European officials, citizens, and member countries of the European Union.

The meeting marks an important step in fostering diplomatic ties between Austria and Afghanistan while shedding light on the nuanced situation on the ground in Afghanistan, which differs from some media portrayals. The Freedom Party members' promise to provide accurate information to Europe could potentially influence international perceptions of Afghanistan's current circumstances. (ILKHA)
