Turkish security forces apprehend 2 PKK members attempting cross-border entry from Syria to Türkiye
Two PKK members were detained in Suruç district of Şanlıurfa on Thursday after they were trying to enter Türkiye from Syria.
Upon receiving actionable intelligence about the imminent attempt of PKK members to enter Türkiye from Syria, Gendarmerie units swiftly intensified their border surveillance and bolstered their security measures.
During the operation, the Gendarmerie teams successfully identified and detained an individual identified as a member of the PKK/YPG (People's Protection Units), a group with affiliations to the PKK.
Legal proceedings have been set in motion against the detained PKK members. (ILKHA)
