These tragic fatalities occurred across four significant southeastern districts during the period spanning from August 4 to 11. The distribution of deaths is as follows: 21 in Cox's Bazar, 20 in Chattogram, 10 in the hilly Bandarban, and six in the Rangamati district. This update was officially provided by authorities on Saturday.

Concurrently, the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center issued a crucial alert, indicating that major rivers such as Jamuna, Brahmaputra, and Padma are expected to continue experiencing swelling in the low-lying regions over the course of the next 72 hours.

Similar predictions have been made for rivers including Surma, as well as others in the northeastern districts. The Flood Forecasting and Warning Center has also issued a caution regarding the potential escalation of the northern Teesta River's water levels beyond the danger threshold.
