The plant, which is located in the Bagrami district of Kabul, has created employment opportunities for approximately 700 individuals.

The opening ceremony of the plant was attended by officials from the current Afghan government, including Nooruddin Azizi, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce. Azizi praised the Islamic Emirate leadership for its support for investors and businesspeople in Afghanistan. He also criticized businessmen who earn profits within Afghanistan but choose to invest their money outside the country, labeling them as enemies of the people.

Representatives from the Chamber of Industries and Mines also attended the opening ceremony. They encouraged investors to explore the diverse opportunities available in mining, industry, water resources, and agriculture throughout Afghanistan. They claimed that the country holds treasures in every corner, making each region an opportunity worth exploring.

The Union of Iron Smelting Factories reported that Afghanistan now boasts 42 operational steel production plants, with an estimated $500 million invested in the industry.

The plant is expected to play a significant role in the development of Afghanistan's economy. It will help to create jobs, boost exports, and reduce reliance on imports. The plant is also expected to help to diversify Afghanistan's economy, which has traditionally been based on agriculture and mining.

The opening of the new iron smelting plant is a positive sign for the future of Afghanistan's economy. It shows that investors are still willing to invest in the country, despite the challenges that it faces. The plant is also a reminder of Afghanistan's rich natural resources, which have the potential to drive economic growth. (ILKHA)
