Speaking at a ceremony welcoming Islamic Emirate officials who returned from completing Hajj, Muttaqi said that funds that were previously allocated to war supplies and weaponry are now being directed towards development projects.

He criticized the existence of what he called a "war economy" in the past, where providing narcotics to four million addicts was considered a form of economy that worked against the country's future. However, he claimed that a "revolution" has taken place in the country.

The acting foreign minister further highlighted that despite sanctions and pressures imposed by the international community on the current Afghan government, the value of the Afghan currency remains stable within the nation. He expressed confidence that the country's economy will grow through a focus on implementing infrastructure projects.

Muttaqi emphasized the stability of the currency, the openness of borders for business, and the absence of famine as notable achievements in the face of sanctions and pressures. He attributed these accomplishments to the measures taken by the current Afghan government. (ILKHA)
