Multiple tornadoes cause widespread damage across five US states
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Storm Prediction Center reported that at least 16 tornadoes touched down across five states in the U.S.: Louisiana, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
“The most severe damage was caused in Noble, Oklahoma, where homes and businesses were hit, and in Weskan, Kansas, where a tornado tore off a school's roof and damaged stadium bleachers and a scoreboard.
Additionally, several other tornadoes were reported in McDonald, Grove County, and Edson in Kansas, while short-lived tornadoes were observed bouncing around near Arapahoe County in Colorado and in Nebraska.
Besides the tornadoes, the Great Plains region experienced heavy rain and hail, with some areas receiving two months' worth of rain in just two days.
Cherry Creek Reservoir State Park in Colorado was inundated with approximately 10 inches of rain on Tuesday, causing significant damage to several roadways with massive holes and cracks in the asphalt. (ILKHA)
