Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders to meet in Brussels

This meeting, initially reported by the Financial Times, has been organized at the invitation of Charles Michel.

Prior to this event, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, engaged in four days of talks in Arlington, Virginia, following an invitation by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Additionally, following the Brussels meeting, another gathering will take place in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, on June 1, where French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will also participate.

According to Barend Leyts, spokesperson for Charles Michel: "The leaders have agreed to convene again on May 14, 2023, in a trilateral meeting in Brussels. Their discussions will be accompanied by a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron of France and Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany, on the sidelines of the upcoming European Political Community summit in Chisinau on June 1, 2023. The leaders have also agreed to continue meeting trilaterally in Brussels as often as needed to address ongoing developments and the standing agenda items of the Brussels meetings." (ILKHA)
