He highlighted the signing of 18 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, emphasizing that expediting their implementation would significantly enhance their bilateral ties.

Raisi underscored the significance of parliamentary exchanges as a positive step toward fostering development in Iran-Uzbekistan relations.

Recognizing the cultural and civilizational commonalities between the two nations, he emphasized the potential for expanding economic and commercial cooperation.

While acknowledging the recent growth in political and economic relations, he urged both sides to exert double efforts to further promote economic ties given the untapped potential in both countries.

In response, Uzbekistan's Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Nurdinjon Ismoilov, praised President Raisi's foreign policy approach of prioritizing neighborly relations.

Ismoilov affirmed that Uzbekistan, too, had prioritized the development of relations with its neighbors during the process of amending their constitution.

Ismoilov emphasized the pivotal role of parliaments in facilitating government cooperation and pledged that the Parliament of Uzbekistan would utilize all available resources and capabilities to implement the agreements between the two countries. (ILKHA)
