A 4.2 magnitude earthquake jolts southern Turkey
The 4.2 magnitude quake hit the Göksun district of Turkey’s southern Kahramanmaraş province, Turkey’s Disaster, and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 09:29 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.086 degrees north and a longitude of 36.62 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.98 km.
On Monday, a catastrophic and deadly earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and western Syria.
The earthquake was followed by numerous aftershocks, including an unusually powerful magnitude of 7.5 nine hours after the main quake.
At least 24,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands injured in both countries. (ILKHA)
