Netherlands seizes about 5 kilos of cocaine at Rotterdam Airport
The customs officers seized over 4.7 tons of cocaine at Rotterdam port between December 24 and January 4, the public prosecution department said.
“In the period between the last days of 2022 and the first days of 2023, investigative services carried out a large number of inspections in the port of Rotterdam. It led to the interception of 4726 kilos of cocaine and 34 arrests,” the department said in a statement.
The drug had been smuggled into the Netherlands from Chile and Ecuador, among others, according to the statement. (ILKHA)
