A 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurs off northwestern Turkey
The offshore quake took place off the coast of the Ayvacık district of Turkey’s northwestern Çanakkale, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.

The earthquake occurred at around 09:39 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 39.374 degrees north and a longitude of 26.278 degrees east, and at a depth of 10.75 km.
