Jordan summons zionist ambassador over Ben-Gvir’s incursion into the Al-Aqsa Mosque
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Tuesday summoned the Israeli ambassador in Amman to protest Ben-Gvir’s incursion into the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in occupied Jerusalem.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs summoned the israeli ambassador in Amman, today, Tuesday, to the ministry's headquarters, in order to convey a message of protest against the Israeli Minister of National Security's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif,” the Ministry said.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, stated that the zionist regime’s ambassador had been handed a letter of protest to be conveyed immediately to his government, stressing that the zionist regime, as an occupying power, must comply with its obligations in accordance with international law, especially international humanitarian law, regarding the occupied city of Jerusalem and its sanctities, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to refrain from any measures that would prejudice the sanctity of the holy places and to put an end to attempts to change the historical and legal status quo.
The spokesman also warned that the continuous violations and attacks on sanctities warn of further escalation and represent a dangerous trend that must be stopped immediately. (ILKHA)
