Turkish Finance Minister meets with Islamic Development Bank president
Turkish Finance Minister Nurettin Nebati has met with the chairman of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, on the on the sidelines of the 38th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC.
“In Istanbul, the president of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Al Jasser and Nureddin Nebati, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the 38th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC,” the Islamic Development Bank wrote on Twitter.
“Exchanged views on ways to enhance collaboration between Islamic Development Bank Group,” the bank added.
The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) is one of four standing committees of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
It was established in 1981 at the Third Islamic Summit Conference held in Mecca/Ta'if and serves as a multilateral economic and commercial cooperation forum in the Islamic world.
The committee convenes annually at the ministerial level in İstanbul under the Chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Turkey.
The organization defines its scope of cooperation by trade, transport, agriculture, tourism, poverty alleviation, and financial as well as private sector cooperation. (ILKHA)
