5 Indian officers dead after Army chopper crashes in Arunachal's Upper Siang
Five Indian officers were killed when an army helicopter on Friday crashed near Singging in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district, officials said.
The Advanced Light Helicopter that took off from Likabali town on Friday morning crashed near Singging village soon after.
The accident took place about 25 km away from the Tuting headquarters.
The HAL Dhruv is a utility helicopter designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
It is designed to meet the requirement of both military and civil operators, with military variants of the helicopter being developed for the Indian Armed Forces, while a variant for civilian and commercial use has also been developed. (ILKHA)
