Afghanistan: No security incidents happen during Eid holidays
Afghan Interior Ministry said that no security incidents had happened during Eid holidays in the country.
After decades of suffering from occupations and conflicts, Afghanistan has achieved peace and security since the declaration of the Islamic Emirate.
The ministry said that it was the first Eid in decades that the Afghan people spent in full peace and security.
Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul was captured by the Taliban Movement on 15 August 2021, the culmination of a major offensive that began in May 2021.
More than three weeks after the fall of Kabul, the new Taliban rulers announced the creation of a government cabinet for the new state named the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Since then, the country has witnessed significant developments in peace and security. (ILKHA)
