Türkiye’s agricultural input price index rises by 117.31% on year-over-year basis
Agricultural input price index increased by 117.31% annually and 7.45% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement om Monday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 7.45% compared to previous month, increased by 59.01% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 117.31% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 52.83% compared to twelve months moving averages, in April 2022.
Monthly changes by main groups, goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 6.76% and goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 7.54%.
The goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 63.96% and the goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 126.20% compared to same month of the previous year.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 7 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher
Subgroups that indicated low increase were veterinary expenses with 26.31% and seeds and planting stock with 40.33%. On the other hand, fertilizer and soil improvers with 241.57% and energy; lubricants with 189.26% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.
Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 7 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher
Maintenance of materials with 3.25% and plant protection and pesticides with 3.74% were subgroups that indicated low monthly increase.
On the other hand, maintenance of buildings with 10.97% and fertilizer and soil improvers with 10.04% were the subgroups that high monthly increase realized. Veterinary expenses with 1.85% was the only subgroup that monthly decrease observed. (ILKHA)
