Turkish FM meets Palestinian President Abbas in Ramallah
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has met with Palestine’s President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.
During their meeting, President Abbas and Çavuşoğlu reviewed the outcomes of the joint Palestinian-Turkish Committee’s work and the cooperation agreements signed during an earlier meeting with Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki, according to the Palestinian presidency.
He briefed the top Turkish diplomat on the latest developments on the Palestinian issue, with a focus on the incessant zionist regime’s attacks against the Palestinian people and holy sites in Jerusalem, daily killings, and unabated colonial settlement construction on occupied land.
The top Turkish diplomat conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Abbas and affirmed his country’s firm position in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to freedom and independence. (ILKHA)
