Tens of thousands of Palestinians attend Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa
Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers marched to Al-Aqsa Mosque to pray the third Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem said that 150,000 worshipers performed Friday prayer at the holy shrine amid strict Israeli measures at the Mosque's gates.
During the Friday sermon, Sheikh Yusuf Abu Sneina emphasized that protecting the holy sites is one of the most important Islamic duties.
Abu Sneina urged Palestinians to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa till the end of the zionist occupation.
He pointed out that the Al-Aqsa and Al-Ibrahimi mosques are subjected to grave violations.
He also called for defending Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The heavy presence of zionist police was seen at the entrances, surroundings, and alleys of the Old City in Occupied Jerusalem.
Hundreds of West Bankers were stopped at military checkpoints and prevented access to the occupied city. (ILKHA)
