Russia lost nearly 21,000 soldiers in 57 days of war--Ukrainian Defense Ministry
Nearly 21,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since the aggression began, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 829 Russian tanks, 172 aircraft, 151 helicopters, and 2,118 armored carriers.
The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 393 Russian artillery systems.

According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 1,224 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.
OHCHR said that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.
UN refugee agency said that more than 5 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began.
“5 million people have now fled Ukraine. They have left behind their homes and families. Many would do anything, and some even risk going back, to see their loved ones. But every new attack shatters their hopes. Only an end to the war can pave the way for rebuilding their lives,” tweeted Filippo Grassi, the UN High Commissioner for refugees. (ILKHA)
