Domestic producer price index In Turkey jumps to 79.89% on annual basis in December
Turkey’s Domestic producer price index increased by 79.89% on annual basis, by 19.08% on monthly basis, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 19.08% on monthly basis, by 79.89% on December of the previous year basis, by 79.89% on same month of the previous year basis and by 43.86% on the twelve months moving averages basis in December 2021.
Manufacturing increased by 77.44% annually
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 62.84% for mining and stone quarrying, by 77.44% for manufacturing, by 117.14% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 33.99% for water supply, annually.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 92.13% for intermediate goods, by 46.16% for durable consumer goods, by 54.23% for non-durable consumer goods, by 122.76% for energy, by 51.17% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 18.88% monthly
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 12.69% for mining and stone quarrying, by 18.88% for manufacturing, by 24.41% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 1.87% for water supply, monthly.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 21.21% for intermediate goods, by 12.04% for durable consumer goods, by 16.50% for non-durable consumer goods, by 20.38% for energy, by 15.53% for capital goods, monthly.
Compared to general D-PPI, lower annual change observed in 21 subdivisions while 8 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for wearing apparel by 21.45%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 25.85%, for leather and related products by 28.61%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 161.88%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 138.51%, for basic metals by 130.91%.
Compared to general D-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 21 subdivisions while 8 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for water; water treatment and supply services by 1.87%, for other transport equipment by 2.80%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 3.61%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were index for basic metals by 24.73%, for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 24.41%, for textiles by 23.92%. (ILKHA)
