Number of coronavirus deaths nears 5 million worldwide
More than 243,83 million people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities, with 755,721 deaths, followed by Brazil with 605,211 deaths, India with 453,742, and Mexico with 285,953 deaths.
About 221 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals worldwide. (ILKHA)
