Altun: The world must act with us and heed our President Erdoğan’s call for action
In a statement on his social media account, Turkish Presidency's Director of Communications Altun recalled that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan just wrapped up his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly.
Altun noted: “Our visit to New York for the UNGA meetings has been a great success with so many diplomatic accomplishments and reaffirmation of our commitment to solving global challenges.”
Stating that one of the highlights of the visit has been the historic inauguration of Türkevi for Turkish citizens in the US as well as the citizens of all nations, Altun said, “President has held meetings with diplomats, business and thought leaders as well as members of international media organizations. In every opportunity, he has underscored the importance of international cooperation and solidarity. He also showed his indispensable leadership in pushing the international community on a number of global issues including the pandemic, migration and climate change.”
Altun recounted that President Erdoğan has hosted more than a dozen bilateral meetings at our newly inaugurated Türkevi to help crises arenas around the world including Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and others.
Director of Communications Altun continued as follows: “Our President has underlined Turkey's willingness to help stabilize Afghanistan after the US withdrawal. He called for a diverse new administration that includes other ethnic and political groups. Turkey is ready to help bring peace to this country. Our visit to New York for the UNGA meetings has been a great success with so many diplomatic accomplishments and reaffirmation of our commitment to solving global challenges.
