Turkey: Number of paid employees increases by 17.2% annually
The number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 17.2% in May 2021 compared with the same month of the previous year, the Turkish Statistic Institute said in a statement on Friday.

While the number of paid employees was 11 million 534 thousand 193 in the same month of the previous year, it became 13 million 515 thousand 264 in May 2021.
When sub-sectors are examined; the number of paid employees in the industrial sector increased by 16.1%, in the construction sector increased by 43.6%, and in the trade-services sector increased by 13.4%.

The number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 0.7% in May 2021 compared with the previous month.
When sub-sectors are examined; the number of paid employees in the industrial sector increased by 0.8%, in the construction sector increased by 0.5%, and in the trade-services sector increased by 0.6%. (ILKHA)
