Escaped lion mauls zoo workers in southeastern Turkey
A lion was able to escape its enclosure at a zoo and maul three keepers in Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province on Thursday.
It has emerged the lion escaped its pen because the door was not shut properly.
The keepers who were trying to lock the lion in its cage were seriously injured by the lion and were taken to Şahinbey State Hospital.
The lion was neutralized by the zoo staff, according to local sources. (ILKHA)
